Jeniece is a registered nurse, a mother, a survivor and an advocate. She is currently completing her Masters of Nursing at the University of Calgary with a focus on the experiences of women who have been domestically abused. Her goal is to raise awareness on the insidious prevalence of domestic abuse, and the role that our societies toxic systems play in perpetrating and excusing abuse. She uses art and poems as an outlet for her despair for the injustices in the world. She hopes to encourage other women to use art based mediums as a source of creativity, strength and courage in a world increasingly unsafe for women and children.

Jeniece is passionate about helping women connect, empower and inspire one another. She encourages you to connect with her about her poems, or her artwork. She also encourages anyone from anywhere in the world to come forward with their stories of tragedy, neglect or abuse.
She wants to do her best to bring unheard voices to the forefront and to be an advocate for change.
